Treatment Vacation
Given the rough time Carol had with her last treatment, it was not too surprising that at yesterday's appointment, her doctor wanted to wait until her blood counts were strong again before resuming treatment. And when she does restart treatment, the regimen will be somewhat modified, to lessen the severity of the side effects she felt over the last couple weeks. That way she should be able to stay stronger through the course of treatment, without crippling side effects that compromise her ability to keep going down this road.
With this window, we're heading out to Minnesota for a long weekend, to see and hear Eliza. The orchestra has a concert next weekend at St. Olaf, which is just perfect timing!
I don't know how to begin to thank so many of you who continue to let us know that you're there for Carol, that you're thinking of her, that you have some chocolate chip cookies that just need to be eaten, that you made a little extra soup, that you don't mind transporting me or my sweaty squash clothes, that the air bags are there for a reason, and so much more. Every kindness means so much. Thank you.
